PLAY 1

The backlog: everyone you have ever worked with

If they were happy, they can review, whether the job was last week or two years ago. Work through your customer list, 2 or 3 calls per day. Say this:

“While I’ve got you, one thing that would really help us out. We’re building up our Google presence and a review from you would go a long way. I’m texting you the link right now. If you mention it was the [service] job in [city], even better. Takes a minute.”

Text the link WHILE you are still on the phone. If you send it later, it dies.

Start with your Hopkinsville and Clarksville customers, that is where the rankings war is. Then keep going through everyone else, as far back as you like.

PLAY 2

Every new job, within 48 hours

Every completed job gets an ask within 48 hours, while the work is fresh. Response rate falls off a cliff after a week.

Quick favor: a Google review helps us more than any ad we could buy. Takes 60 seconds, and I put a sample below so you don’t have to start from scratch. https://g.page/r/CbWWRfHCwIXfEBM/review”

Subject: Quick favor, 60 seconds

“[Name], thanks again for trusting us with the [service] on your [city] property. If you were happy with the work, a Google review would mean a lot. Most building owners find their roofer on Google now, and reviews are what they check first. Here’s the link: https://g.page/r/CbWWRfHCwIXfEBM/review. If it helps, here’s the kind of thing past customers write, feel free to use it as a starting point, but your own words are best.”

PLAY 3

Make it copy-paste easy

Send one of these with every ask so the customer never faces a blank box. Rotate them. Each one names a service and a city, which is what makes the review count. These are starting points for real customers describing real jobs.

“Premier Roof Solutions restored the metal roof on our warehouse in Hopkinsville. Straight answers, showed up when they said they would, and the roof has been watertight since. Highly recommend for any commercial building.”

“We had recurring leaks at our building in Clarksville and Premier found what others missed. The repair was done fast and they documented everything for our records. Great commercial roofer.”

“Premier did a roof coating on our facility in Madisonville. Saved us from a full replacement and the finished work looks excellent. Honest recommendation from the start instead of upselling us.”

“Our company uses Premier for commercial roof work in Paducah. Inspections are thorough and the crew is clean and professional. Solid outfit.”

“Premier handled the flat roof restoration on our property in Owensboro. Competitive price and they kept our operation running the whole time. Would use them again.”

“Storm damage repair on our building near Cadiz. Premier handled the assessment and had us covered fast. Exactly who you want on a commercial roof.”

PLAY 4

The giveaway (optional)

For facility managers and property managers, a drawing gets people moving:

“Everyone who leaves us a Google review this quarter gets entered to win a $250 gift card. Good or bad, honest reviews only. We draw one winner at the end of [month].”

Entry is for A review, not a positive review. Say that out loud.
One entry per person. Announce the winner publicly on the Google listing.
Multiple people from the same building can each enter. The PM, the maintenance lead, and the owner can all review the same job.

PLAY 5

Reply to every review

Reply within a day or two, and mention the service and city again: “Thanks [Name], that Hopkinsville warehouse restoration was a good one for us too.”
Never use the same canned reply twice.
Bad review: calm, factual, take it offline. No arguing in public.
